AFTRA has received increasing reports of non-AFTRA franchised agents representing broadcasters, and that some of these non-AFTRA agents are offering terms in their “non-AFTRA contracts” that are very problematic.

On November 30, 2009, John Paradise, the owner of the Paradise Group, Inc. d/b/a/ The Paradise Group Talent Agency ("TPG"), resolved TPG's dispute with AFTRA as a result of a mutual settlement agreement. The Paradise Group Talent Agency has been an AFTRA franchised agency since May 2000 and continues in good standing to the present day.
