How to Calculate AFTRA Membership Dues

HOW DUES ARE CALCULATED

AFTRA dues are assessed on May 1 and November 1 each year and consist of a minimum amount (base dues) plus a percentage of your AFTRA earnings during the previous year (work dues). Work dues are calculated on the first $100,000 at 0.743% and on earnings above $100,000, at 0.137%. Dues are not calculated on earnings over $250,000; members earning more than that amount pay the maximum dues. Members who earn less than $2,000 pay only the base dues amount of $63.90.

(2) Maximum dues - $1,012.40 semi-annually; $2,024.80 annually.

(3) Members with less than $2,000 in earnings are charged only the base dues amount.
