Regents of the University of California Office of the General Counsel

Video Transcript

Hi, and welcome to the official Web site of the Office of the General Counsel, University of California. I'm Charlie Robinson, Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel to the Regents. As General Counsel, I provide general advice to the Regents, to the President, and to other senior University administrators across the system. I also oversee the delivery of legal services to the University through the Office of the General Counsel, sometimes known as OGC, through the central office here in Oakland, and the legal affairs offices on the campuses. This site is part of our effort to deliver sound and timely legal advice to our clients in a manner that is efficient and convenient for them. On this site, you will find information about us, our mission and vision, you will find information about our staff and to whom you should turn regarding specific legal issues, and you will find information and answers, hopefully, to the questions that are most frequently asked of us. The site is a work in progress, and we hope that over time, it will become an indispensible resource for you. Toward that end, we have provided a feedback mechanism on this page for you to provide us information about how we might make this site more useful to you. I want to emphasize that the Office of the General Counsel is first and foremost a service organization. We are here to provide information and support and to make our clients successful in achieving their own visions and objectives, and to assist them in pursuing opportunities. If there's anything that I can do personally, or any member of my staff might do, to make you more successful, I want to know about it. Thank you for visiting the site.
