GBA announces AFTRA Best Price Rx Card

Dear AFTRA Member,

Group Benefit Associates (GBA) is pleased to announce the expansion of the AFTRA Best Price Rx Card to all AFTRA members. This program is free to all members of the union, friends and family.

This added benefit has no monthly fee or additional premium for the AFTRA member. The member simply presents the AFTRA Best Price Rx Card at the register to receive the discount. The card is the size of a credit card and conveniently fits into a wallet. 

The AFTRA Best Price Rx Card is an easy way to help AFTRA members and their families with all of their prescription drug needs. AFTRA participants and their families can obtain an average savings of 40%, representing discounts of 13% to 65% on drug prices through the nationwide network of more than 50,000 pharmacies. The actual savings may vary depending on the medication and the pharmacy used.  Ninety day prescriptions through mail order are also available. 

Some key points of the plan include:

• There are no annual discount limits 
• Everyone qualifies for the card - there are no restrictions 
• The card never expires 
• An entire family can use one card 
• Cardholders save on drugs not covered by other plans 
• There are more than 60,000 drugs in the formulary 
• Members can locate a participating pharmacy and obtain discount pricing information at www.wellcard.com 
• Mail order pharmacy service is also available to AFTRA Best Price Rx Card members
