The cornerstone of the SAGE Scholars program is the internship. There, students acquire hands-on practical experience and receive expert mentoring from professional role models. Key features are:
  • UC Career Development workshops taught by industry professionals help to prepare SAGE Scholars prior to their placement within a company
  • Meaningful job assignments at partner businesses allow SAGE Scholars to selectively explore opportunities that align with their academic studies and career goals
  • Interdisciplinary training broadens SAGE Scholars’ experience and expertise through departmental rotations
  • SAGE Scholars work part-time during the academic year and full-time during the summer; work schedules are flexible to accommodate special school demand
