What is a Finding Aid?
A finding aid is a description of an archival collection. It is designed to help researchers determine whether a collection is pertinent to their research by providing historical context (who, what, where, when, and how) and a description of the materials in the collection. The SAGE finding aids include the following information:
Please note that the Sam Nunn papers is such a large collection that the finding aid has been divided into several files. The main Nunn finding aid describes the collection as a whole. The other Nunn finding aids contain detailed descriptions of series that are open for research.
