Education Partnerships provides coordination support to campuses for partnership efforts and works in cooperation with other education institutions to administer statewide partnerships.
A complete description of the partnership is available by selecting the partnership name.
The Alliance for Regional Collaboration to Heighten Educational Success (ARCHES) is a statewide, voluntary confederation of regional collaboratives whose sole purpose is to improve student success and close the achievement gap among groups of students. ARCHES is an intersegmental collaborative with the University of California as a partner.
The California Academic Partnership Program (CAPP) is a partnership between California higher education institutions and public schools. CAPP awards grants to partnerships between schools, higher education institutions and business entities to improve academic programs so that more students are prepared for college. CAPP is an intersegmental program, administered by the California State University, in cooperation with the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU), California Community Colleges, California Department of Education, California Postsecondary Education Commission, the California Student Aid Commission, and the University of California.
University of California P-20 Intersegmental Alliances at each UC campus are designed to raise student achievement levels generally and to prepare students for post-secondary education and the workplace by increasing the capacity of P-20 institutions to address barriers to educational equity. P-20 alliances seek to raise effectiveness by connecting measurable goals through more than one age period, although different alliances may target different phases of their P-20 educational systems. They build on and often coordinate efforts of academic preparation programs (thereby reducing competition among programs with similar goals) and engage the full range of student populations, achievement levels, and family circumstances. UC P-20 Intersegmental Alliances reach schools and educators in more than 25 California counties. Alliances include P-20 educators (including higher education partners), business leaders, federal, state, and private funders, and community organizations, as well as families and youth.
Regional Academic Collaborative's focus on rural California and represent a UC systemwide strategy to create college culture in schools by increasing algebra completion and raising awareness of college opportunity.
Through a biennial grants program, University-Community Engagement (UCE) supports UC campus-community collaborations that raise student achievement, close achievement gaps, and increase college-going rates among low-income and disadvantaged students. The office also serves as an information clearinghouse on resources and research on community partnership and collaboration.
University-Community Links is a network of university and community partners, working together to create and sustain innovative after-school programs. UC Links sites bring underserved K-12 youth together with university students in guided activities that engage their minds and connect them to each other, their communities, and the world around them.
