The Bentley Historical Library was established in 1935 by the University of Michigan Regents to carry out two functions: to serve as the official archives of the university and to document the history of the state of Michigan and the activities of its people, organizations and voluntary associations. The materials in the Bentley Historical Library Web Archives reflect the mission and priorities of the library as we seek to preserve online resources of unique, essential, and enduring value.

Description: The Office of University Audits provides audit services and support to the entire University community including Flint and Dearborn campuses. University Audits will strive to provide high quality auditing and consulting services across the entire University community to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Our risk assessment process will determine the areas of priority and focus. To accomplish this, we will: Conduct proactive compliance, operational, and information systems audits, and special investigations, leveraging our broad perspective of the University's culture and environments; Be a valued source of advice and education on best practices regarding risk management, control self-assessment, compliance issues, and operating policies and procedures; Promote a comprehensive, ongoing risk and control self-assessment program; Co-source with internal and external specialists, as appropriate; Coordinate external audit services; Create a work environment that encourages and supports open communication, diversity, and high professional standards; Enhance competence, innovation, and continuous improvement through professional development.
