Description:

The Bentley Historical Library was established in 1935 by the University of Michigan Regents to carry out two functions: to serve as the official archives of the university and to document the history of the state of Michigan and the activities of its people, organizations and voluntary associations. The materials in the Bentley Historical Library Web Archives reflect the mission and priorities of the library as we seek to preserve online resources of unique, essential, and enduring value.

Title: Laboratory of Cell Signaling in Engineered Tissues (University of Michigan) Web Archives

URL: http://www.csetlab.org/

Collection: University of Michigan Schools, Colleges, Research, Centers, and Institutes Web Archives

Description: "The Laboratory of Cell Signaling in Engineered Tissues (CSET) conducts both fundamental and applied research in the broad areas of cell and tissue engineering. Our fundamental biological research addresses how the mechano-chemical properties of the extracellular matrix (ECM) influence both normal and pathologic tissue morphogenesis, with a particular emphasis on identifying the signal transduction mechanisms that drive these processes in 3-D. Our engineering efforts then seek to leverage this fundamental knowledge to inspire the design of "instructive materials" for applications in regenerative medicine and as model systems in which to study disease." The website includes information on the lab, descriptions of research activities, a personnel directory, and a bibliography of related publications.
