The Bentley Historical Library was established in 1935 by the University of Michigan Regents to carry out two functions: to serve as the official archives of the university and to document the history of the state of Michigan and the activities of its people, organizations and voluntary associations. The materials in the Bentley Historical Library Web Archives reflect the mission and priorities of the library as we seek to preserve online resources of unique, essential, and enduring value.

Description: The Center for Ethics in Public Life, created on July 1, 2008, was established to promote "teaching, research, and public discourse about ethics" and to continue the work of President Mary Sue Coleman’s Initiative on Ethics in Public Life. The Initiative sponsored a wide variety of public forums on ethical issues and provided funding in support of nearly fifty programs, workshops, course development and faculty research projects. The Center closed on June 30, 2011, and captures of the website were discontinued.
