Description: The Global Program on Youth, based at the University of Michigan School of Social Work in Ann Arbor, is establishing broad-based groups of scholars, policy makers, and service providers who are working together to address critical and timely issues related to children and youth. GPY addresses the translation from research to practice in an effort to make research more accessible and applicable to policy makers and practitioners. This project involves local and international, and inter- institutional and inter-professional collaborations. We are breaking important new ground by applying a collaboratory model in a social work context. The model is also allowing us to examine the uses of technology in the environments served by our projects. Site includes information about the GPY's research projects.
