The Bentley Historical Library was established in 1935 by the University of Michigan Regents to carry out two functions: to serve as the official archives of the university and to document the history of the state of Michigan and the activities of its people, organizations and voluntary associations. The materials in the Bentley Historical Library Web Archives reflect the mission and priorities of the library as we seek to preserve online resources of unique, essential, and enduring value.

Description: Archived website of Students of Color of Rackham (SCOR), an outgrowth of the first Black Action Movement (BAM), one of the two campus wide protests in 1970 and 1975 that called for an increase in minority enrollment at the University of Michigan. SCOR's mission is to enhance the campus and community environment to promote academic growth, professional development, and general well-being among students of color; build an environment in which all persons can network and acquire opportunities for professional development; encourage and enable service and awareness at the University, within local communities, nationally and internationally; and sponsor cultural, educational, social programs and activities which appeal to graduate students of color.
