The Bentley Historical Library was established in 1935 by the University of Michigan Regents to carry out two functions: to serve as the official archives of the university and to document the history of the state of Michigan and the activities of its people, organizations and voluntary associations. Description: "U-M participates in the Open Pathway process, which takes place in ten-year cycles and includes a mid-cycle assurance review, a late-cycle quality initiative, and a culminating comprehensive evaluation. At the end of each ten-year cycle, a visiting team of peer reviewers appointed by the HLC visits campus." Also there is information about the current review process, how to become a Higher Learning Commission peer reviewer and accreditation reports for the Ann Arbor campus from 1990, 2000, and 2010.
