Description: The Ural Ecological Union is a regional public non-profit organization formed in 1989. It brings together the knowledge of scientists, public figures, teachers, lawyers, journalists, entrepreneurs, and economists whose professional activities relate to the environment. The mission of the Ural Ecological Union is the promotion of environmental improvement in the Urals, the quest for sustainable development in the region through environmental education, the implementation of significant environmental projects, independent examination, legislative activities, and lobbying of national and local authorities for the protection of the environment. The Ural Ecological Union is a member of the International Socio- Ecological Union.
