WorkingLife.org is a publication of, and the new web address of the The Labor Research Association (LRA), which was founded in 1927 to collect data on labor for trade unions and publish that information, statistics, and related news, and was for many years informally associated with the Communist Party USA. The Labor Research Association is a New York City-based non-profit research and advocacy organization that provides research and educational services for trade unions. Through its annual Labor Awards Dinners, LRA gives recognition to labor and political leaders who have made significant contributions to labor struggles. LRA's work is overseen by a Board of Directors composed of union leaders and others involved in the labor movement.
