Description: The Honors Program of the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions (COEHP) was established in 1990 to provide an environment to nurture and challenge our most exceptional students. Since then, the COEHP Honors Program has grown from just a handful of students to over 450 of the highest-achieving students in our College. We work closely with faculty and staff within COEHP and with our partners across campus to ensure the success of our students in their academic endeavors. In 2002, the University of Arkansas Honors College was established following a commitment of $300 million to the University of Arkansas from the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation. This gift has allowed the Honors College to provide substantial funding opportunities to Honors students at the University of Arkansas. All Honors students on campus, regardless of their major, are also members of the Honors College.
