Description: After a statewide election, each of the 58 counties is required by law to send their certified election results to the Secretary of State up to 30 days after Election Day. The Secretary of State then has up to 7 days to compile the complete Statement of Vote (SOV), which contains official results from each county. The Secretary of State has until 158 days after Election Day to compile a Supplement to the Statement of Vote (SSOV), which contains more detailed election information from each county.

Description: The website of Safe at Home, an address confidentiality program administered by the California Secretary of State's office that offers victims of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault cross ethnic, racial, age, gender, religious, national origin, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic lines anonymity and a new start towards a brighter future free from fear. Safe at Home participants can use a free P.O. Box instead of their home address to help them maintain their privacy when receiving first-class mail, opening a bank account, completing a confidential name change, filling out government documents, registering to vote, getting a driver’s license, enrolling a child in school, and more.
