Description: This site is supported by the State Water Contractors. It is based primarily on data from the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) Municipal Water Quality Investigations (MWQI) as part of the Real Time Data and Forecasting (RTDF) project. Its goal is to bring real time, near real time, and forecasted water quality data to source water managers, treatment plant operators, scientists, and other stakeholders. Data from numerous sources are assembled and presented with the goal of providing a concise, single source of relevant information. Data are presented in tables and graphs in combinations that are specific to particular concerns.

Title: Central Valley Flood Protection Plan 2017 Update

Description: The Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) describes a programmatic vision for improving flood risk management throughout California’s Central Valley. Prepared by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) in accordance with the Central Valley Flood Protection Act of 2008 (Act) and adopted by the Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB) in June 2012, the CVFPP guides the State’s participation in managing flood risk in areas protected by the State Plan of Flood Control (SPFC).

Description: Since its adoption by the Central Valley Flood Protection Board in June 2012, the CVFPP has guided California's flood risk management investments to improve emergency preparedness and response capabilities, increase critical flood protection in vulnerable Central Valley communities, and address maintenance deficiencies in the flood system. This first 5-year update to the CVFPP, as required by the Central Valley Flood Protection Act of 2008, incorporates the latest information about systemwide and regional flood management needs, advancements in the best available science, refined objectives for improving ecosystem functions along our floodways, a robust investment strategy, and a series of policy issues and focused recommendations needed for continued implementation of the CVFPP.
