Description: The Crimean Republic Association "Ekologiya I Mir" (CRAEM) is a non-governmental environmental organization founded in 1988, to stop the building of a nuclear power plant in Crimea. Since then, Ekologiya I Mir has acted as an independent non- governmental organization uniting people in all sectors of society, with than two hundred activists involved. The organization aims to protect Crimean nature and the health of its inhabitants. . CRAEM's major concerns are: urban areas with excess garbage; environmental ignorance and inactivity of the population concerning its rights; food quality; irrational territory planning; domination of 'traditional' types of energy; and high levels of chlorine in drinking water. Its activities include: the collection and dissemination of ecological information (holding seminars, conferences, working with mass-media); ecological action; ecological education; organization of scientific research and public participation in environmental impact assessment; study and conservation of nature preserves and rare Crimean animals and plants; planning and realization of Crimean sustainable development goals; support of Crimean NGOs.

Description: OISCA, The Organization for Industrial Spiritual and Cultural Advancement International, works to contribute to environmentally sustainable development through a holistic approach emphasizing the interconnectedness of agriculture, ecological integrity, and human spirit. To accomplish this, OISCA International implements and advocates hands-on experiential programs for world citizens of all ages, transmitting knowledge and skills, and cultivating spiritual qualities as dedication, self-reliance, and universal brother- sisterhood. “Industrial” refers to the promotion of agriculture and other primary industries that are fundamental to human existence. “Spiritual” does not denote a particular religion but rather the need to nurture qualities such as self-reliance, dedication for one`s own community, international brother-sisterhood and respect for Earth`s ecological integrity on which life is grounded. “Cultural” represents the intent to encourage the magnificent cultural diversity that has enriched human life and the universal need to promote cultural patterns such as culture of peace. Originally formed in 1972, the Japan Asian Association & Asian Friendship Society (JAFS) focuses on providing sustainable and safe drinking water to rural communities in South and South East Asia through building wells, pipelines and related infrastructure. As an international cooperation group, JAFS also provides disaster relief to the victims of catastrophic natural events throughout Asia.
