It is funded by a range of institutional supporters, including several major charitable foundations. Chinadialogue aims to promote common understanding of urgent environmental challenges, including climate change, species loss, pollution, water scarcity and environment damage. It is devoted to the publication of high quality, bilingual information, direct dialogue and the search for solutions to our shared environmental challenges.

Description: The Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) is a registered non-profit organization based in Beijing. Since its establishment in May 2006, IPE has developed two pollution databases (water & air) to monitor corporate environmental performance and to facilitate public participation in environmental governance. It aims to disclose environmental information to help communities fully understand the hazards and risks in the surrounding environment, and to promote widespread public participation in environmental governance. IPE is a member of Green Choice Alliance, a coalition of NGOs in China, to promote global green supply chain by pushing large corporations to concentrate on procurement and the environmental performance of their suppliers. The ‘Green Choice Alliance’ consumer initiative takes into consideration the environmental performance of manufacturing enterprises while exercising their purchasing power to make green choices.

Description: The Green Volunteer League of Chongqing’s missions include environment protection, education, and engaging the public in protecting biodiversity. Description: Founded in 1996, Green Earth Volunteers (GEV) is one of China's oldest local environmental NGOs. Our mission is to serve as a vehicle for grassroots public participation through encouraging volunteerism. We also support environmental journalism in China, with the goals of improving awareness of environmental issues and improving information disclosure. Many of our current projects focus on water issues, including encouraging national cooperation on river protection, and we are part of the global Waterkeepers Alliance. In 2007 GEV formally registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs as the "Green Earth Environmental Scientific Research Centre." Friends are now working with GEV to create a stable and professional management staff as a foundation from which to consolidate and expand our activities.
