Description: Vivamar was founded to do dedicated research on the common bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) currently threatened in the Adriatic Sea. They are the last constantly present marine mammals in the area and have a key role in indicating the health or ecological state of the sea. The mission of the organization is therefore to protect the dolphins and through their protection enhance sustainable development of the sea, motivating local people and those abroad to actively cooperate and contribute in this noble task.
