Description: The Green Earth Network (GEN) is an NGO based in Osaka that runs greening programs in the Loess Plateau of China's Shanxi Datong City. In operation since 1992, the GEN gained official NPO status in 1999. The aim of GEN, according to its charter, is to promote beyond national boundaries people's cooperation for the global environment.

Description: Friends of Nature (FON) is the oldest environmental NGO in China. We have been working for over a decade to promote environmental awareness about China’s most pressing environmental problems.
