Description: The Green Volunteer League of Chongqing’s missions include environment protection, education, and engaging the public in protecting biodiversity. It has participated in multiple projects on protecting natural forests and biodiversity. The League is also actively involved in education programs. So far they have trained more than 700 environment education teachers to deliver education to elementary schools and middle schools. It also collaborates with international institutions, including International Financial Organization and Asian Development Bank, on environment protection projects evaluation.

Description: Founded in 1999 as part of the enactment of the national "Promotion of Measures to Cope with Global Warming" law, the Japan Center for Climate Change is a national center that collects and disseminates domestic and international information related to climate change. The collection and public dissemination of both national and international information related to global warming and climate change are central to the JCCC's mission. A part of this activity consists in the construction and maintenance of a searchable database (currently only in Japanese) of global warming and climate change resources, including for example Internet resources and materials held by the JCCC. NOTE: This is a semi-governmental center founded by a government-led initiative and run by an organization appointed by the Ministry of Environment.
