Description: Established in April, 1999, Action for the Protection of Wild Animals (APOWA) has a decade of experience in the field of animal welfare, nature conservation, and sustainable development. APOWA addresses issues like animal welfare, and the survival of species and their habitats. It acts to conserve natural resources in coastal Odisha, choosing solutions that are sustainable, based on evidence, and take into account community needs. Over the years, its perspective has broadened to reflect a more holistic understanding of conservation issues facing the state and country, especially related to climate change and disaster risk reduction programs. It is focused on the reduction of threats to mangrove forests, as well as community-based disaster risk reduction programs in coastal villages. It supports related technological innovations that help coastal communities.

Description: The Crimean Republic Association "Ekologiya I Mir" (CRAEM) is a non-governmental environmental organization founded in 1988, to stop the building of a nuclear power plant in Crimea.
