Originally formed in 1972, the Japan Asian Association & Asian Friendship Society (JAFS) focuses on providing sustainable and safe drinking water to rural communities in South and South East Asia through building wells, pipelines and related infrastructure. As an international cooperation group, JAFS also provides disaster relief to the victims of catastrophic natural events throughout Asia.
