Description: Wellstone Action, founded in 2003 and named for the late Paul Wellstone (formerly U.S. Senator from Minnesota) and Sheila Wellstone, is a national center that provides training and leadership development in the progressive movement. The organization works to train underrepresented communities to engage in civic life. Wellstone trains campaign workers, candidates, activists, students, domestic and sexual violence advocates, labor organizers and unions, Native American community leaders, and non-profit leaders.
