What is Project Compost?
Project Compost is a student-run, student-funded unit of the Associated Students of the University of California, Davis (ASUCD). Four student staff members, many interns, and even more wonderful volunteers cooperatively manage Project Compost. Here you can find guides for composting, ways to compost in your own home, find out more about Project Compost, and how to get involved with Project Compost!

Education and Action
There are two parts to Project Compost: Education and Action
The Education portion means we offer free composting workshops through the Experimental College, make presentations to clubs and classrooms, as well as tabling at various events. If you would like us to make a presentation at a sustainability event, please contact us at projectcompost@gmail.com
The Action portion of the program consists of compost pickups. Each Day we pick up food matter from the ASUCD Coffee House, coffee kiosks on campus, the Pomology Department, and several labs on campus. This organic matter is then composted in windrows on the Student Farms.

If you would like to sign up for our email list to receive information on volunteer opportunities with Project Compost or to learn about more the Organic Revolution, there are several ways to contact us.
The easiest way to contact us is through email at projectcompost@gmail.com. You can visit our office during meeting times (Mondays at 5 pm) in the basement of the Memorial Union (Room MU 43 next to the elevator). Additionally, Project Compost educational pamphlets may be found online or in our office.
