UC Identity Management Work Group

[Note:  These pages concern a pilot project in federated identity that resulted in the creation of UCTrust.  The current, official UCTrust pages are available at http://www.ucop.edu/irc/itlc/uctrust/.]

The University of California's Identity Management Work Group was created as a subgroup of the Information Technology Leadership Council (ITLC) to develop an infrastructure for federated authentication from campuses and other UC sites to system-wide applications.  This collection of web pages is a repository of materials used internally by that group.

Purpose

The group's first task is to enable federated authentication for people from UCSD, UCI, and UCLA for use of the UCFY and YBO applications provided at UCOP and CDL-licensed resources that have been "Shibbolized."  Here is the ITLC's charge to the groupIdentity Management for the University of California is a more complete summary.
