Automated Tool for Filtering Spam on Eudora/Windows

October 15, 2003

As previously announced, IR&C;'s new spam and virus protection services for e-mail became effective as of the date of this message, Wednesday, October 15, 2003. You or your departmental PC coordinator may now configure your e-mail program to direct spam into a special folder rather than your Inbox. We offer an automated tool to configure Eudora 5.x on Windows so that e-mail tagged as spam will be moved to a Eudora mailbox called _SPAM_. The tool and instructions for its use are located at:

http://www.ucop.edu/irc/services/emailspam.html

Further information about the spam and virus protection services is available at:

If you have questions about these services or how to obtain and install the Eudora filter configuration tool, please contact your departmental PC coordinator or contact IR&C; Desktop Computing Services at pchelp@ucop.edu or 987-0457.
