A network switch located on the third floor of the Oakland Scientific
Facility (OSF) at 415 20th Street failed at 8:20 this morning. This
caused a network connectivity outage for employees on the third floor
of OSF. It also interrupted the RealAudio broadcast of The Regents
meeting. Partial restoration of service, including resumption of The
Regents broadcast, is anticipated by 11:00 a.m. Full restoration of
network service, which requires delivery of replacement parts, is
anticipated by 3:00 p.m. today.
