The TechDesk will upgrade PCs to Microsoft Office 2007 on a department by department basis starting October 7. The basic Office applications will be included in this upgrade—Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. The upgrade does not include Visio and Project for PCs, or MS Office applications on Macintosh computers.
The departmental rollout schedule is posted on line. Department staff will receive a detailed e-mail about the upgrade prior to their rollout date.
The TechDesk has developed a Web site providing online training for Office 2007 applications. Sessions last from 30 to 60 minutes and provide step-by-step instructions on navigation changes and major new features.
