IR&C will migrate UCOP e-mail/calendar accounts to a new server beginning Friday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m. and concluding Monday, May 9 at 6:00 a.m.
Each person's mailbox will take about 30 minutes to one hour to migrate and your account will be offline during that time. If you cannot access e-mail at some point over the May 6 weekend, please wait 30 minutes to an hour, and try again. Your e-mail/calendar account will be offline only a short time – not the whole weekend! Messages sent to you when your mailbox is unavailable will be delivered once the mailbox is back on-line.
The time required for migration depends on how much data is stored in your mailbox. You may shorten the time by deleting old e-mail, such as from the Junk, Sent, and Deleted Items folders.
The migration primarily provides back-end improvements, but customers will see some benefits as well:
