UC Teaching, Learning, and technology Center (TLtC)

Official UC TLtC site: www.uctltc.org

The University of California Teaching, Learning and Technology Center (TLtC) is a center-without-walls that is intended to provide systemwide visibility to campus and faculty efforts that use new technologies to improve teaching and learning. The Center also provides complementary support to leverage those efforts for the benefit of the entire system.

  • TLtC Intercampus Collaborative Grants aim at furthering innovative and appropriate uses of technology in teaching and learning through partnerships across the campuses. The UC Office of the President has earmarked approximately $600,000 for 2003-04 to support these endeavors.
  • TLtC Webzine and Online Forum is an interactive web publication that officially launched in December 2001. In addition to feature articles and news stories about how technology is used in teaching and learning at UC, the Webzine includes links to educational technology resources across the system, as well as a developing database of faculty uses of technology. This publicly accessible database is designed to enable faculty to connect with one another to learn more about strategies and tools as well as to collaborate on projects.

  • April 21, 2003: Deadline for TLtC Full-scale Expansion & Implementation grant proposals. The University of California Teaching, Learning and technology Center (TLtC) provides systemwide visibility to campus and faculty efforts that use new technologies to improve teaching and learning. The Center also provides complementary financial support to leverage those efforts. Full-scale Expansion & Implementation Grants (up to $75k per year for a maximum of three years) are intended to implement intercampus collaborations to expand curricular strategies that use technology beyond a single campus, for the potential benefit of the entire UC system. For more information, view the Request for Proposals online. (1/13/2003)
